Just as light illuminates darkness, Sunway Group brought Deepavali cheer to 120 underprivileged children from four charity homes in Penang namely Shan Homes, Children’s Protection Society, St Joseph’s Home and Pusat Jagaan The Ramakrishna.

About 40 dedicated Sunway employees from Sunway Property Penang, Sunway Carnival Mall, Sunway Hotel Georgetown and Sunway Hotel Seberang Jaya volunteered to spend time with the children.

Sunway employees brought smiles to 120 shelter home children at Sunway Hotel Georgetown, Penang

Held at Sunway Hotel Georgetown, the children enjoyed live clown performances, cultural performances and a sumptuous buffet dinner. Goodie bags and a gift collectively worth RM100 were also presented to the children and their caretakers by Penang Deputy Chief Minister II YB Professor Dr Ramasamy Palanisamy and Sunway Property Penang General Manager Ahila Ganesan.

To date, Sunway has hosted some 80,000 underprivileged children, single parents and the elderly to memorable festive events at Sunway’s multiple locations nationwide.
